GUEST POST: Insights from 5 Weeks of Remote Work

GUEST POST: Insights from 5 Weeks of Remote Work

Meet Jessica Trainor - a classically trained singer, voice teacher, and Career and Life Coach. She used to underpin this trifecta with a day job. But, she realized that if she kept treating her passions as a hobby (underpinned by a toxic work environment), she would not hit the goals she had for performance and teaching career. She ditched the traditional career path, hasn't looked back for almost a year, and just travelled for five weeks and worked remotely during that time. Here are some initial insights from her time away!

RAR Ep.08 - You Have to Have a Home Base to Run a Business

Welcome to Episode 8 of Rules Aren't Real! Join us as we debunk the rule, "You have to have a home base to run a business." Both Lydia and I are SO stoked about this episode, since we both work really hard to be able to work and travel simultaneously. It's a core value, and a hell of a good time. So what does it take to work remotely? We discuss what we've learned from our own experiences, our network, and our research. Check it out to learn if working while exploring the world might be for you!
